Kevin Franco – Project Manager, Petrochemical Segment

Kevin brings a dynamic skill set that has contributed to one of the most successful partnerships demonstrated between WM Sustainability Services and our clients. With over 7-years in EHS compliance management, emergency response, and the hazardous waste industries, he oversees the waste operations at a 700-acre, 250K BBL/day petroleum refinery in Southern California. Kevin and his team of ten Sustainability Services technicians have been responsible for implementing best management practices (BMP) and other efficiencies that have resulted in an average savings of $1 million per year over the life of the contract. Some examples of BMPs include: beneficial reuse of waste/by-product materials, railroad transport logistics efficiencies, waste minimization, strategic sourcing of recyclable materials, and container right-sizing. This team is also an excellent example of the Waste Management safety culture, as they are one of the most decorated teams within the organization, receiving several Waste Management Safety Achievement Awards every year since 2007.
